On the sea today a Wigeon, 168 Common Scoter, a Fulmar, 79 Gannets, 13 Great Crested Grebes, 4 Arctic Skuas, one Bonxie, 15 Razorbills, 2 Guillemots, 43 Sandwich Terns and 26 Common Terns were counted. Elsewhere the high tide produced 1200 Black-tailed Godwits and 750 Oystercatchers, with a Little Stint, Common Sandpiper and Greenshank still on the NWT pools. Also of interest were a Peregrine, Kingfisher, 150+ Swallows, 4 Blackcaps, 3 Lesser Whitethroats, 7 Whitethroats, 12 Stonechats, a Wheatear and 4 Yellow Wagtails, with a Redpoll flying over at Thornham.

In the moth traps today a Coronet, 8 Smoky Wainscots, 26 Archer’s Darts, 35 Large Yellow Underwings, 24 Vine’s Rustics, 3 Rusty Dot Pearls, 14 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, a White Point, 14 White-lined Darts, 6 Flouced Rustics, 12 Turnips, a Lime-speck Pug, 3 Dingy Footmen, 4 Common Wainscots, 2 Shuttle-shaped Darts, a Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, a Brimstone, a Cloaked Minor, Small Square Spot, Sharp-angled Peacock, Small Blood Vein, Square Spot Rustic and Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing.
