Highlights today were a Spotted Flycatcher in the pines behind the seawatching hide, a Great White Egret over the grazing marsh, 2 Little Stints, a Wood Sandpiper, 3 Common Sandpipers and 3 Snipe on the NWT pools, and 2 Yellow Wagtails over calling.

In the moth traps today 59 Archer’s Darts, a Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing, a Brimstone, Chinese Character, 2 Cloaked Minors, a Common Rustic, 32 Common Wainscots, a Common Wave, Dingy Footman, 12 Flounced Rustics, 52 Large Yellow Underwings, a Latticed Heath, 3 Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, 2 Lime-speck Pugs, a Pale Mottled Willow, 3 Rosy Rustics, 46 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 3 Sharp-angled Peacocks, 2 Shuttle-shaped Darts, a Small Blood Vein, Small Square Spot, 13 Smoky Wainscots, 2 Square-spot Rustics, a Straw Underwing, a Clay, a Rustic, 3 Spectacle, 20 Turnips, 23 Vine’s Rustics, 17 White-lined Darts, 6 White Points, a Willow Beauty, 2 Yellow Tails, a Light Emerald, 2 Yellow Belles, 2 Frosted Orange and an Orange Swift were caught.

Butterflies included Green-veined White, Small Heath, Small Copper, Comma, Wall Brown and Common Blue.

Two Wasp Spiders were again at the main Obs pond.
