Highlights today were 3 Spoonbills, 46 Golden Plovers, a Whimbrel, 187 Curlew, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, a Green and a Common Sandpiper, a Kingfisher along the Broadwater, at least one Willow Warbler on the reserve, 7 Whitethroats, a Whinchat on the NWT reserve, 11 Stonechats in the recording area with 4 ringed on the east bank, and 2 Wheatears also noted.

Moths today included 2 Coronets, 10 Shuttle-shaped Darts, 3 Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, 4 Drinkers, 19 Archer’s Darts, 16 Vine’s Rustics, 28 Turnips, 3 White Points, a Gold Swift, 8 Flounced Rustics, 9 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 15 Large Yellow Underwings, a Square-spot Rustic, Straw Underwing, 4 Flame Shoulders, a Small Waved Umber, 8 Common Wainscots, 2 Sharp-anlged Peacocks, 2 Smoky Wainscots, 7 White-lined Darts, a Dingy Footman, 3 Nutmegs, 2 Ferns, 2 Dark Arches, 2 Common Waves, 4 Scarce Footmen, a Brimstone, a Tree Lichen Beauty, an Iron Prominent, 2 Cloaked Minors, a Lychnis, Marbled Beauty, Common Rustic, Mouse Moth and Brown-veined Wainscot.
