On the sea today 14 Common Scoter, 2 Fulmars, 8 Gannets, a Great Crested Grebe, 6 Arctic Skuas, 16 Razorbills, 14 Little Terns, 147 Sandwich Terns and 427 Common Terns. A Spoonbill was asleep on the Broadwater and 2 Avocets, 3 Black-tailed Godwits, a Common and 3 Green Sandpipers and 2 Snipe were counted, with 8 Stonechats in the recording area.

In the moth traps today 8 Ruby Tigers, a Yellow Tail, 9 Scarce Footmen, a Brown-veined Wainscot, 13 Archer’s Darts, 8 Shuttle-shaped Darts, 3 Drinkers, 13 Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwings, 11 Cloaked Minors, 7 Garden Tigers, 2 Common Waves, 4 Mouse Moths, 4 Setaceous Hebrew Characters, 14 Rustics, 12 Large Yellow Underwings, 3 Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, 2 Flame Shoulders, a Southern Wainscot, Pine Hawk Moth, Vine’s Rustic, 6 Straw Underwings, 3 Common Rustics, 3 Smoky Wainscots, 3 Lime-speck Pugs, 2 Dingy Footmen, 6 Turnips, 4 Sharp-angled Peacocks, 2 Latticed Heaths, an Ear sp, 2 White-lined Darts, 4 Nutmegs, a Spectacle, 2 Twin-spot Wainscots, 2 Flounced Rustics, a Sallow Kitten, a Least Yellow Underwing, 2 Vine’s Rustics, a White Point, Fen Wainscot, Single Dotted Wave and Angle-barred Pug.

Butterflies included Brown Argus, Common Blue and Wall Brown.
