Marbled Clover

Further wader passage was noted today with 71 Lapwings, 2 Whimbrel, 36 Black-tailed Godwits, a Green Sandpiper, 3 Greenshank and a single Snipe all counted. Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers were around the village and a Yellow Wagtail flew over east.

In the moth traps a Sharp-angled Peacock, 3 Drinkers, 3 Garden Tigers, 6 Scarce Footmen, a Straw Underwing, a Small Blood-vein, 2 Turnips, 2 Riband Waves, a Brown House Moth, Cloaked Minor, Tree Lichen Beauty, Swallow Prominent, 2 Yellow-tails, a Small Waved Umber, 2 Large Yellow Underwings, 6 Rustics, a Marbled Clover (pictured), 4 Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, a Dark Arches, Common Rustic, Flounced Rustic, 2 Dingy Footmen, a Sallow Kitten, 2 Nutmegs, a Least Yellow Underwing, Flame Shoulder, a Fern and an Angle-barred Pug.
