A windy day with some sunshine. On the sea today 3 Fulmars, 5 Gannets, an Arctic Skua, 32 Little Terns, 89 Sandwich Terns and 13 Common Terns were recorded. Also of interest were 3 Great White Egrets, 3 Black-tailed Godwits and 2 Stonechats.

In the moth traps a Sharp-angled Peacock, 3 Drinkers, 5 Ruby Tigers, a Cloaked Minor, Common Carpet, 4 Shuttle-shaped Darts, 10 Rustics, 4 Common Rustics, 2 Flame Shoulders, 4 Garden Tigers, 5 Scarce Footmen, a Southern Wainscot, a Red Twin-spot Carpet, 2 Least Carpets, 4 Common Footmen, a Coronet, an Oak Eggar, 2 Least Yellow Underwings, a Scalloped Oak, Shaded Broad-bar, Twin-spotted Wainscot, 2 Mouse Moths, 3 Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwings, a Ringed China-mark, 7 Large Yellow Underwings, 3 Archer’s Darts, a Small Waved Umber, 2 Scalloped Oaks, a Straw Underwing, a Dark Arches, 2 Lesser Yellow Underwings, a Knot Grass, Yellow-tail, Riband Wave, a Brown-veined Wainscot (pictured) and a Turnip.
