On the sea today 4 Fulmars, 37 Gannets, 3 Arctic Skuas, 76 Little Terns, 221 Sandwich Terns and 30 Common Terns were logged, with 2 Common Sandpipers and a Green Sandpiper, 30 Black-tailed Godwits and 60 Curlew also of interest.
In the moth traps today a female Oak Eggar, 17 Scarce Footmen, 2 Shaded Broad-bars, a White Satin Moth, Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, 2 Common Footmen, 2 Uncertains, 2 Drinkers, a Small Fan-footed Wave, 8 Rustics, 3 Sharp-angled Peacocks, 7 Ruby Tigers, a Yellow-tail, 3 Smoky Wainscots, 3 Dark Arches, a Shuttle-shaped Dart, 11 Large Yellow Underwings, a Dingy Footman, 2 Lesser Yellow Underwings, a Cloaked Minor, Mouse Moth, Dark Sword-grass (pictured), Early Thorn, Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, Diamond-back, a Clay, Dusky Sallow, Nut-tree Tussock, Mother of Pearl, Small Blood-vein, a Kent Black Arches and Shore Wainscot.
