Bird wise today a Common Sandpiper was again on the Broadwater, a Grey Wagtail flew over heading West, a reeling Grasshopper Warbler was near the Heligoland trap, and on the beach there were single Spoonbill and a Mediterranean Gull. Ringing also produced a rather smart young Lesser Whitethroat (pictured). 41 species of moths were trapped overnight, the total included 3 Rosy Footman, Swallow Prominent, Chinese Character, Fen Wainscot and Nut-tree Tussock.
