2037 Rosy Footman

On the sea today 3 Fulmars, 60 Sandwich Terns, 2 Common Terns and a Little Tern were counted, with 75 Bar-tailed Godwits and 670 Knot on the shore. Also of interest were 46 Lapwings, 3 Black-tailed Godwits and 11 Curlew. A Willow Warbler and 2 Lesser Whitethroats were singing and 4 Stonechats were in the dunes, with 2 Bullfinches also seen.

In the moth traps, a Barred Yellow, 11 Common Footmen, 2 Barred Straws, 55 Garden Grass Veneers, a Poplar, Privet, Elephant and Lime Hawk Moth, Small Fan-footed Wave, 4 Mottled Rustics, 2 Common Swifts, a Rosy Footman (pictured), Brown Rustic, 3 Large Yellow Underwings, 6 Dark Arches, a Caly, 3 Uncertains, 2 Scarce Footmen, Fen Wainscot, 2 Heart & Darts, a Small Emerald, Nutmeg, 2 Southern Wainscots, Marbled Minor agg, a Turnip, Flame, Bordered White, Poplar Grey, Silver Y, Middle-barred Minor, and a Wormwood Pug were recorded.
