At least four Spoonbills were noted during the day. The Willow Warbler continued to sing at the back of the NWT carpark, and at least three Lesser Whitethroats could also be heard around the reserve. Moth wise the highlight was a Cream-spot Tiger, the first one to be caught at the Observatory. Twenty-seven species of moth were in the traps, including a Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing, Pale-shouldered Brocade, White Ermine and Knotgrass.
