A Spoonbill was still present and 19 Black-tailed Godwits flew west, while on the beach and sea 5 Bar-tailed Godwits, a Little Tern and 5 Sandwich Terns were noted, with 2 Med Gulls flying west over the NWT car park. A Cuckoo was heard near Thornham and a male Stonechat was on the east bank.

In the moth traps a Willow Beauty, Poplar Hawk, Common Pug, Fern, 2 Middle-barred Minors, 6 Bordered Whites, 6 Cinnabars, 4 Common Swifts, a Sharp-angled Peacock, Green Oak Tortrix, 4 Vine’s Rustic, 2 Treble Lines, 3 Large Yellow Underwings, Lyme Grass, 2 Double Square Spots, 4 Sand Darts, 5 Mottled Rustics, 4 Turnips, 6 Heart & Darts, 2 Striped Wainscots, a Dog’s Tooth, Marbled Minor species, Dwarf Cream Wave, 2 Small Elephant Hawks, Burnished Brass, Small Magpie, White Ermine, Small Waved Umber, Dark Arches, Uncertain, Common White Wave and Small Fan-footed Wave were caught.

Red Admiral and Small Copper were seen on the wing.
