On the sea today 610 Common Scoter, 3 Gannets, 2 Little Terns, a Common Tern and 20 Sandwich Terns were counted. A Cuckoo, single Whimbrel and 5 Black-tailed Godwits were also noted.
In the moth traps 5 Cinnabars, 7 Treble Lines, 2 Shuttle-shaped Darts, Bordered White, Rustic Shoulder-knot, Small Waved Umber, Breckland Plume, 3 Vine’s Rustics, Yellow Belle, Lyme Grass, Brimstone, Brown Rustic, Ochreous Pug and Willow Beauty were caught.
A Four-spotted Chaser, 2 Large Red Damselflies, Brimstone butterfly, 3 Green Hairstreaks and a Brown Argus were also observed.
