There was a pretty strong westerly at the Obs today. During a seawatch mid-morning we recorded 20 Common Scoter, 1 Swift, 1 Little Tern, 1 Common/Arctic Tern, 1 Fulmar, 2 Gannet and 5 Cormorant.

There was a Greenshank calling up and down the Broadwater and a Spoonbill from the car park hide.

Reduced catch in the moth traps today but with a really nice mix of species with highlights including Oak Marble, Small Mottled Willow and Small Emerald.

There were some nice butterflies on the wing battling against the wind and flying low including Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Ringlet, Painted Lady and notably a lot of fresh Peacock.
