Rhubarb and Custard
There was a pretty strong easterly at the Obs today which was welcomed as it stopped it getting too hot! Bird highlights today included 45 Curlew (on the saltmarsh) and 5 Spoonbill at Thornham.

Mallard and duckling – Shannon Clifford
A slight drop in numbers in the moth traps today, though to be expected as it was pretty breezy overnight. In total we had 5 Common Footman, 2 Riband Wave, 5 Brown Tail, 6 Heart and Club, 1 H. sinuella, 1 Large Pale Masoner, 10 Garden Grass-moth, 1 Sand Dart, 4 Uncertain agg., 1 Sharp Angled Peacock, 1 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Eudonia sp., 1 Meadow Grass-moth, 2 Dark Arches, 2 Pine Marble, 1 Dwarf Cream Wave, 1 Archer’s Dart and 1 Rosy Knot Horn (aka Rhubarb and Custard).
