Common Emerald
There was a really strong westerly at the Obs today making conditions challenging! It was generally pretty quiet around the Obs/in the recording area, with no butterflies or dragonflies today. Sitting at the car park hide it was nice to see the young birds appearing with a several Coot chicks, a group of 7 Shelduck ducklings and a large group of 9 Mallard ducklings. A Swallow briefly popped in to sit on the door hinge! So due to the weather, the afternoon was spent finishing off reports for our 2025 annual report.
