Holme Bird Observatory
for as little as 14p per day.
17th March 2026

A much sunnier and mild day at the Obs, though still persistently windy! There was a Swallow over at Gore Point, which is the first of the year for here and very exciting that spring is round the corner! There were 92 White-fronted Geese showing really well from the car park hide, it’s lovely to have them around for so long.
Really quiet in the moth traps today with 3 March Moth, 5 Hebrew Character and 3 Small Quaker.
