Norfolk Ornithologists Association - NOA

It was another cold, windy day the Obs and the best spot for birding was definitely on the beach sheltered by the pines. It was generally pretty quiet today and I didn’t see much on the sea apart from a few Red-breasted Mergansers, though conditions were challenging with a really impressive swell on the sea. The best sighting of the day for me personally was a Cattle Egret perched on top of one of the Ponies on the grazing marsh! The Barn Owl was also hunting along the margin of the Broadwater giving great views.
