Great Northern Diver
It’s been another lovely winters day at the Obs. I have spent most of the day on the computer trying to catch up on data entry before Shannon returns on Monday! A look at the sea, between entering sheets of ringing data, revealed a Long-tailed Duck, 4 Red-Breasted Mergansers and a Great Northern Diver. Around the Obs there were 3 Crossbills in the Pines, a couple of vocal Water Rails, 4 Stonechats, 6 Reed Bunting, 4 Greenfinch, 6 Chaffinch and 3 Cetti’s Warblers. There were 2 Barn Owls hunting on the Grazing Marsh this afternoon.
