Crossbill. Ed Frear
Another sunny winters day at the Obs. There were 2 Snow Buntings on the beach today along with 168 Oystercatchers, 8 Grey Plover, 22 Ringed Plover, 59 Curlew, 19 Bar-tailed Godwit, 23 Turnstone, 39 Sanderling, 103 Dunlin and 24 Redshank. There are still movements of Lapwing with 398 counted today, there have been good numbers of Skylarks, with 48 counted in total, most of these were on the way to Thornham harbour, along with a few Rock Pipits, Linnets and 1 Water Pipit. Around the Obs there has been 1 female Crossbill hanging around in the pines.
