It has been a lovely sunny winters day at Holme. A Peregrine flew over first thing, upsetting a Sparrowhawk near the Obs. There were 138 Teal on the Broad Water this morning, with 55 Mallards, 8 Gadwall, 4 Shoveler, 2 Tufted Ducks and 14 Little Grebes. On the beach this morning there were 110 Oystercatchers, 3 Grey Plover, 35 Curlew, 3 Bar-tailed Godwit, 11 Sanderling and 45 Redshank, along with 300 Herring Gulls. Other highlights include a Rock Pipit, 1 Barn Owl, and 3 Bearded Tits.
