Olive-tree Pearl

Olive-tree Pearl

A quiet stormy day at the Obs without much to report! I took the opportunity to crack on with data entry.  Around the reserve there are still good numbers of thrushes (particularly Blackbirds) around, and there has been a small influx of finches, particularly Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch and Linnet.

Moths were the highlight of the day with: 2 Feathered Thorns, 11 Rusty-dot Pearl, 1 December Moth, 1 Marbled Fern, 4 Large Wainscot, 1 Setaceous Hebrew Character, 1 Oak Rustic, 1 Black Rustic, 1 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Diamond-back Moth, 1 Large Pale Masoner and 1 Olive-tree Pearl.
