We started the morning with a sea watch the highlights include: 1 Brent Goose, 10 Eider, 13 Common Scoter, 1 Goldeneye, 10 Red-breasted Merganser, 7 Red-throated Divers, 16 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Manx Shearwater, 45 Gannets, 59 Cormorants, 1 Pomarine Skua, 1 Arctic Skua (image below), 4 Great Skua, 21 Common Gulls, 8 Great Black-backed gulls, 140 Pink Feet, 3 Whooper Swans, 3 Shelduck, 1 Wigeon, 3 Velvet Scoter, 90 Sanderling, 200 Knot, 42 Kittiwakes, 1 Swallow and 1 Sabine’s Gull  (image below). Other interesting sightings today include a Firecrest in the dell and 2 Crossbills showing nicely in front of the obs.

In the Moth traps today we had 1 Rush Veneer, 4 Large Yellow Underwing, 1 Dark Arches, 9 Rusty-dot Pearl, 4 Large Wainscot, 1 Feathered Thorn (image below), 2 Green-bridled Crescent, 1 White-point and 1 Oak Rustic.
