Pale Mottled Willow
On the sea today 8 Common Scoters, 2 Red-throated Divers, 14 Great Crested Grebes, 4 Fulmars, 45 Gannets, 2 Arctic Skuas, 70 Sandwich Terns, 2 Common Terns, a Guillemot and 2 Razorbills were seen.
An Osprey was on the east side of Thornham Harbour. Also of interest were a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 15 House Martins, 4 Chiffchaffs, 11 Swallows, a Hobby, 11 Cattle Egrets in the dunes, and a Great White Egret.
Moths in the traps were a Square-spot Rustic, Pale Mottled Willow, 3 Large Yellow Underwings, a Small Wainscot, a Shore Wainscot, a Lesser Yellow Underwing and a Lesser Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing.
Butterflies included Red Admiral, Peacock, Small White and Wall Brown
