Norfolk Ornithologists Association - NOA

Another cold day at the obs today. On the sea today was 3 Common Scoter, 4 Fulmar, 10 Cormorant, 2 Herring Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 4 Gadwall and 1 Arctic Tern. The Ring Ouzels were still in their usual place in the NWT Paddocks and a Firecrest was seen and heard calling from within the pines next to the heligoland trap and then in the scrub. It was staying well hidden with the heavy rain. Also of interest were 2 Wheatear, 8 Cattle Egret and 4 Lesser Whitethroat.

In the moth traps today were 1 Northern Drab, 2 Muslin and 1 Powdered Quaker. Again, no butterflies were on the wing today.
